The very first collection of Reveal Project - Tatras Fall Winter 2018 Japanese outerwear brand TATRAS presented the very first capsule collection of it’s new unisex line, Reveal Project during Paris Ready-to-Wear FW 2018 calendar. Reveal Project was created by Malankara Sakao-designer of the international high-end quilted jackets brand TATRAS JAPAN-in an effort to promote traditional Japanese culture through fashion by “passing on traditional Japanese culture to future generations”. Inspired by the skill of the Japanese craftsmen, the new brand’s mission is to position Japan’s technique and tradition as a “standard in the worldwide fashion industry”. The collection consisted of several bomber jackets made of the purest Japanese silk; the back of each jacket featured a hand-painted skull, dragon, cockerel, or boxes symbolizing joy, hand-painted in 17th-century dye-painting technique, “Kyo-Yuzen”. The yuzen dyeing method was introduced to Japan in the 8th century and consisted of picturesque designs on kimonos. Creating a real Kyo-Yuzen design involves more than fourteen manufacturing processes from conceptualization to illustration. written by Yasmine Ait Ouazzou Click to view the full Tatras Fall Winter 2018 collection. #article#tatras#tatrasarticle#tatrasfw18#fw18#YasmineAitOuazzou#pfwarticle#pfw

Atsushi Nakashima is a young Japanese fashion designer with a unique style. All of his collection is a collaboration with other brands or brand names in fashion. For example, he made a collaboration for each product on his A/W 2018-2019 collection. Endrecheri x Atsushi Nakashima- a solo project of Tsuyoshi Domoto, fashion, music and art. Tsuyoshi Domoto x Atsushi Nakashima- show music. Atsushi Nakashima x Muse- custom made suits, 100% high quality ,made in Japan with platinum stripes. Atsushi Nakashima x ADS- new structure down items that use special tape by ONWARD KASHIYAMA. The new technology releases more freely with lighter and warmer downs. Atsushi Nakashima x OUTDOOR PRODUCTS- the backpack’s unique knit fabric is nuanced with lightness and comfortability to wear everyday without any extra weight too. The materials Atsushi Nakashima used were denim, cotton, raw serge and some leather jackets. All these materials play an important role, but not only the material, but the colors too: like ochre, light and dark blue, white, light pink and of course black and grey. written by Georgios Vavourakis Click to view the full Atsushi Nakashima Autumn Winter 2018 collection. #article#AtsushiNakashima#AtsushiNakashimafw18#AtsushiNakashimaarticle#fw18#GeorgiosVavourakis#mfw

Roberts Wood in the Woods If you had the chance to see Roberts Wood Autumn Winter 2018 womenswear collection this season, you also had the chance to leave the over saturated area of Covent Garden and Temple. After an arduous journey all the way to edgy Haggerston, we were positively surprised by the venue: a mix between an art gallery and someone’s warming home with a splendid old wooden floor. While we were walking around this small place, an art installation photoshoot was taking place at the same time. The music sounded quite industrial and the crowd (if we can actually call it a crowd) seemed really coming straight out of a cool Shoreditch spot. Nobody was wearing anything too fancy and this small group of people really made us feel at ease, resting in a cocoon would have felt the same. And surprisingly enough... or maybe not actually, the presentation was happening in what could look like a wood décor! (That’s not even a bad joke we made regarding his name). Beautiful immaculate white paper made trees were hanging from the ceiling. Feminine garments appeared like they were floating in the air in a magical atmosphere between this dreamy wood/trees décor. There were no models nor endless catwalks for a change, just light garments made of sheer fabrics embellished with flower details. The colour palette was very natural: blue, pink, white and mustard yellow were the main colours for Roberts Wood this season. A big rail of garments was showcasing the rest of the collection: simple without risk but well cut dresses, jackets, trousers and tops mostly. Some ruffles details were adding a feminine touch which was very appreciated. Roberts Wood Autumn Winter 2018 womenswear collection presentation really felt like a private viewing in an art gallery. The set design made a huge difference in enhancing the garments. written by Jane Marle Click to view the full Roberts Wood Fall Winter 2018 collection. #article#robertswood#robertswoodfw18#robertswoodarticle#fw18#janemarle#lfw
